We are excited to announce that we will be having our fifth annual softball fundraiser on July 22, 2017. In honor of Eileen, an avid softball player, we will be having a softball tournament. This will be an event for the whole family. There will be food, music, and foundation merchandise. We are looking forward to this day and hope that everyone can help us by putting the word out between now and Saturday, July 22, 2017. Softball Tournament Rules and Sign up Form
The softball tournament will be on Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 8am until 5pm. Awards will be handed out immediately following the completion of the last game. The entry fee for each team will be a donation of $350 or the team can decide to sell foundation raffle tickets. If your team decides to sell raffle tickets you will be given a credit towards the $350 donation. The credit is as follows for teams of 12:
10 tickets sold = $ 40 credit
20 tickets sold = $ 80 credit
50 tickets sold = $ 200 credit
70 tickets sold = $ Entire entry fee covered
Team with the most tickets sold will receive a free lunch combo from the snack shack on the day of the event for each player on the team!
(*** If your team has more than 12 players you will need to sell an additional 2 tickets per player than the amounts listed above for the credit to apply.)
Please make checks payable to Eileen’s Foundation. You will need to mail your checks to Eileen’s Foundation at 1728 Date Avenue, Torrance, California 90501. If you have any questions about the team sign-up form, located below, or the softball tournament please do not hesitate to contact us.
Tournament will consist of no more than 10 teams and be a 2 round elimination. The first 10 teams to complete the sign-up form and send in their donation of $350 or commit to selling raffle tickets will be counted. All other team donations will be returned to you.
We are playing for a cause and this is a family type atmosphere. Any player who shows poor sportsman like conduct will be ejected from the game at the discretion of the umpire. Please see below for some rules to follow:
- Every player must be 16 or older.
- Every team must consist of at least 3 girls.
- The foundation has accounted for 12 players per team. For every player over 12 you will be responsible for an additional $20 donation.
- There must be at least 3 girls on the field at all times. (Not as Catcher or Pitcher)
- The game will be played with aluminum bats only.
